In the Pink!

Pink Floyd, the English psychedelic rock band from Cambridge, was created in 1964, after various changes of members and names. The band’s members are Syd Barrett, vocalist and guitarist, Nick Mason the drummer, Roger Waters, vocalist and bassist, and Richard Wright, vocalist and pianist.
‘Psychedelic’ is a particular type of rock music, which uses sound effects like Wah Wah to reproduce the feeling of being under control of hallucinogenic drugs like LSD.
During the autumn of 1965, Syd Barrett suggested the name ‘Pink Floyd’ in reference to two American blues artists: Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
In 1967, the first three singles by Pink Floyd and their first album, ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ are an immediate success in Great Britain. Concerts followed and their fame grew. However, maybe because of strain or anxiety, and LSD addiction, Syd Barrett became unpredictable during concerts and he was replaced by David Gilmour in 1967. Two other albums appeared, both successful.
Pink Floyd still exist and their influence is considerable; the famous example of this success is probably the song ‘Another Brick in the Wall‘.

I think Pink Floyd was the best Space rock band of the world . For me "The Dark Side of the moon" was their best album. My favorit song of this band is " Wish you were here " .
