In my view, a monster can be an abnormal person, perhaps with a frightening appearance, and real psychological problems. A monster can also be a normal-looking person who does horrible things but who can't be human in his mind.If I were a monster, I would be a vampire who does not kill innocent people. I want to be a monster who kills to punish not just to take pleasure in killing.
If we think about religion, evil is the opposite of God and paradise. Everyone can become evil, everyone who is mad or bad enough to be regarded as a demon. I think there is a part of evil in each of us, but it is not just innate. Our idea of evil is not the same as in the Middle-Ages. Our vision of evil has changed because of science-fiction films and TV series. The fear felt in the Middle-Age has become idle curiosity towards supernatural events. I think evil is now more banal because we know that the "abnormal" things that happen aren't so abnormal.
If we take into account the fact that everyone is potentially evil, no one is innocent. In any case, we are never completely innocent since everybody lies, everybody thinks bad things about people and everybody can easily steal and cheat. I'm sure that nobody is completely innocent.
Meanness and slyness can be seen in people's gazes. Maybe I'm a bit naïve but I think that we can guess someone's personality just by looking at his eyes...
